OnePlus has always competed on two things: charging speed and a light software layer. Both still hold.

Nord or the numbered flagships

Nord is OnePlus's mid-range line. Nord CE models sit at the affordable end of it and are usually the best-value OnePlus phones - enough performance for anything most people do, with the charging speed intact.

The numbered phones - 13s, 15R, 15 - are the flagships. Faster silicon, better cameras, better screens, and a considerable jump in price. The R models sit slightly below the plain number in the same generation.

If you are choosing between a Nord and a numbered model at similar prices from different generations, the newer Nord usually has the longer software runway and the older flagship has the better camera.

Charging speed is the reason people buy them

OnePlus consistently ships faster wired charging than rivals at the same price, and it changes how you use a phone: fifteen minutes on the charger before you leave the house genuinely covers a day.

Check the specification carefully on wireless charging, though - it is not on every OnePlus model, and the OnePlus 13s in particular does not have it. We state it explicitly on each product page rather than leaving it to be assumed from the price.

OxygenOS

OnePlus's Android layer is light, with few preinstalled apps and a set of genuinely useful additions rather than duplicates of Google's apps.

Google Mobile Services is present as normal - Play Store, Gmail, Maps.
