Motorola ships Android with very little added on top and very few preinstalled apps. If you have used a phone weighed down by duplicate apps and promotional notifications, this is the direct antidote.

It also means the phone feels faster than its specification suggests, because less is running in the background.

The trade is that you get fewer of the extra features that heavier interfaces bundle. Some people miss them; most do not notice.
