Band or watch?

A band is narrower and lighter than a watch, which makes it easier to sleep in and less obtrusive under a sleeve. It has a smaller screen, so notifications are a glance rather than something you read properly.

If you want the device mainly for steps, heart rate and sleep, a band is the better purchase and costs a fraction of a watch. If you want to see messages, use apps or take calls from your wrist, buy a watch.

Battery life is the reason to buy one

A wrist sensor produces wellness indicators, not medical measurements. Use the readings to spot a trend and take it to a doctor if something looks wrong - do not use them to diagnose or rule out anything.
